The Brooklyn School for Collaborative Studies

BCS is our sister secondary school, created by parents and teachers 10 years ago to offer a BNS style education to older children. Founding Principal Alyce Barr has seen three classes of seniors graduate and go off to college.

BCS is a member of the national network of  Expeditionary Learning Schools which promotes rigorous and engaging curriculum; active, inquiry-based pedagogy; and a school culture that demands and teaches compassion and good citizenship.
