School Bus/MetroCards

BNS has yellow bus service in the morning and afternoon. Bus service is provided by the Office of Pupil Transportation. Please contact Amy at amysumner@bns146.org for the login information.

The OPT determines eligibility for bus service. You can register for the bus with Mona in the main office. If your child does not qualify for bus service, you can request a student MetroCard from Mona. If you child loses his/her card, please let Mona know so she can cancel and replace it.

Anna's bus letter (see below) should be read by all families with children riding the bus. Students and parents should read the bus behavior contract together. The behavior contract describes safe riding habits that families should agree to before putting their child on the bus. Students can be suspended off the bus for one to three days for unsafe behavior, and they can be expelled from the bus permanently if behavior does not improve.

Please fill out the registration form and return to Mona in the main office. Registration takes 3 - 4 days.
